UNIVERSAL Interior Contracting Ltd was founded in 1985 as the manufacturing division for The Hong Kong Teakwood Group which was first established in Hong Kong during 1959 primarily conducting internal fit out contracts.
UNIVERSAL moved from success to success, by 1988, the company diversified into the home furniture market and opened its first factory in China. The Group to date has furnished more than 500 senior Hotels and 250 Offices with every project achieving delivery within a given time frame. To help keep the company at the leading edge of its field, UNIVERSAL focuses on Research and Development together with Value Engineering, which continues to explore new technology in manufacturing product. UNIVERSAL Interior Contracting Ltd was bought out by British Management in 2000, lead by Nicholas Marlow who expanded the operation during 2002/3 with the development of UNIVERSAL Export Holdings and UNIVERSAL Exchange. During 2004 and 2006 The Group developed UNIVERSAL Internet and UNIVERSAL Construction to amalgamate the products and services to provide a ‘Total Turn Key Solution’. The Group covers all aspects of OEM manufacturing, inspection and innovated design and development to suit the clients total requirement.
UNIVERSAL is continually expanding its Manufacturing Operation in The PRC between 2004 and 2008 to doubled the capacity of the timber production plants and incorporated major steel, glass, plastic and linen production plants. These plants currently employ over 800 workers in China and are managed directly by UNIVERSAL Staff. They are a mixture of HKG\PRC joint ventures with Local Authorities or Individuals with a desire to develop into International Markets.
